Coaching & Mediation

One-to-One Coaching

Many come to me because they can’t find the language they need to manage specific conflicts. They want to be more persuasive, but they are afraid they will say the wrong things.

This is not unusual. We’re all a bit unbalanced when we’re confronted with something new-or something we’ve been able to avoid until now.

Let’s plan seeds and grow people, including ourselves. Here are your first seeds:

  1. You are surrounded by conflict.
  2. You are resolving it all the time.
  3. You don’t need to fear conflict.
  4. You don’t need to be embarrassed that you have it.
  5. You don’t need to pretend there’s a way to avoid all of it.

Together, we can resolve your instant conflicts. We’ll also build your skills, so you are stopped less often and for shorter periods of time. I’ll give you language. We can role-play difficult conversations. I’ll share a variety of tools custom-selected for you. I won’t give up on you, even when you try to give up on yourself.

Group Coaching and Mediation

Your brain playing tricks on you and looks for threats when you’re in conflict with someone you once liked and trusted. Suddenly, you begin to question yourself, other decisions you’ve made, other relationships, and the way you thought the world worked. Your brain’s amygdala works overtime, fearing it missed other threats. That other someone? He or she is probably having a similar experience. In mediation, we can address this in ways the courts cannot.

When I’m mediating, I use the Third Ear Conflict Resolution process and transformative mediation techniques to help you and the other parties in dispute work through all of this in ways courts typically do not. I help each of you:

  1. Clearly define the conflict(s)
  2. Identify the competing interests and unmet expectations driving the dispute
  3. Play with the possibilities of resolution and freedom
  4. Create the future from all available options
  5. Stay on PARR, Planning, Acting, Revising, and Repeating, until you get the results you want
