All employers in New York State are now required to provide sexual harassment training to all employees by October 9, 2019, but that isn’t the primary reason this is an important topic. Sexual harassment in the workplace has a disparate economic impact on female-led households–an estimated 42% of the total. Studies have also shown that it has an impact on employer success, beyond the cost of litigation, and we know that a large number of incidents are unreported.
The NYC Commission on Human Rights has released a free, 45-minute training that meets the state and city training requirements and gives a good overview of the topic. Yet my clients, colleagues, friends, and family members still have questions and feel unprepared for the conversations that are occurring all around them. So, I created an online course to expand the dialogue and provide more resources for self-directed follow up.

Nance L.
