Know Your Game, Make the Rules Clear and Keep Score

It was so much fun speaking to Franne McNeal today on Significant Business Results radio. I went in thinking that I know myself, my business and my goals well, so I will be fine. I learned that I still get nervous on-air and that even I can improve my listening skills. I suddenly have more sympathy for people who don’t answer questions directly when they are being interviewed. With adrenaline high and concerns about getting everything in I wanted to, I sometimes forgot what was asked. Oy! This is a great lesson, and I will be creating an action plan for improving my interviewing skills (which aren’t bad!).

If you didn’t get to listen live, here’s the approximately 20-minute program:

In addition to my self-critique, I also got some new insights about who I am, what I value and how my story has come together. This is so important as I push myself outside of my comfort zone with the book, the app and even the panel presentation I am doing at the Southern California Mediation Association (“SCMA”) on Saturday. I encourage you to do the same self-analysis. You’ll soon be able to do it with my book, of course. In the meantime, let me know how I can support you. xo
